Training weekend

Datum:
Fri, 17/10/2014 (All day) - Sun, 19/10/2014 (All day)

Natural resources, it's a highly relevant issue and one of the major challenges for the next years. Both our energy consumption, and hence the demand for oil and gas, as the production of all kinds of electronic stuff, for which metals like gold, cobalt and others are neccessary, increase exponentiallly. But for the extraction of these minerals the people and the environment in the South pay a high price: their habitats are destroyed, the water is polluted, soils dry out,...

Do you want to know more about the immense impact of the extraction of raw materials and discuss alternatives, then you are welcome at our training weekend from 17-19th of October. Interesting speakers from CATAPA tell you more about who we are, what we do, our new campaign, and our projects in Peru and Bolivia. Our colleagues from Putuayo have a lot to tell about oil drilling in the Peruvian Amazon.

Besides a lot of information you get to know the CATAPA-volunteers and our typicial CATAPA culture.
